Major Changes in Florida State Seminoles Basketball
Florida State Seminoles men's basketball is experiencing significant transformations as it prepares for the upcoming season. This marks the first time in 23 years that a new head coach, Luke Loucks, will lead the team, coinciding with a comprehensive roster overhaul influenced by the transfer portal and NIL initiatives. The full schedule for the 2025-26 season has been announced, featuring 17 home games, including high-profile matchups against Duke, NC State, and Miami at the Donald L. Tucker Center. The Seminoles will also participate in exhibition games and face Texas A&M in Tampa, a rematch since their last NCAA Tournament encounter in 2011. The coaching staff has also been revamped, with Loucks joined by several new assistants. In addition to returning players, FSU has made notable additions through the transfer portal and recruited promising high school talents, while several players have departed. The team is gearing up for a dynamic season filled with new opportunities and challenges.
